Foolkiller is the name adopted by multiple characters in the Marvel Universe, each operating as a vigilante driven by a twisted sense of justice. The first, and arguably most well-known, Foolkiller is Greg Salinger.
Greg Salinger, a deeply disturbed Vietnam War veteran, believed society was plagued by "fools" and those he deemed morally bankrupt. He took it upon himself to eradicate these individuals, using a specialized "purification gun" that vaporized its targets.
Salinger's actions brought him into conflict with various superheroes and anti-heroes, including Man-Thing and Daredevil. He often justified his killings with philosophical musings and a self-righteous belief in his own twisted morality.
Later iterations of Foolkiller followed a similar pattern, taking on the mantle and continuing the mission of eliminating those deemed "fools." These subsequent characters, while sharing the name and basic ideology, had their own unique backgrounds and motivations.
